Brewer’s Hill

Located on a bluff overlooking the Milwaukee River, Brewers Hill boomed at the turn of the 20th century as a residential area for the laborers who worked in the foundries, tanneries, mills, and breweries that lined the river. You’ll still find a brewery on the river here (featuring a nationally-ranked brewery tour!), plus great dining on top of the hill.

Breweries

Lakefront Brewery, located at the bottom of Brewer’s Hill, is home to one of the city’s most popular brewery tours, and ever-growing list of innovative beers, and a hoppin’ German beer hall complete with live polka band. Create your own brewery crawl by checking them out along with any of Milwaukee other 40 breweries.

Wheels Up

You’ll see a lot of cyclists in Brewers Hill! From commuters cruising along the Marsupial Bridge to a mob of riders dressed in their holiday best for the Santa Rampage Cycling Bar Crawl, this neighborhood is a great place to ride. Wisconsin has regularly been ranked one of the top states for cyclists, and Milwaukee shows visitors why.

Beerline B

The northernmost section of the RiverWalk takes you along the the former industrial corridor along the Milwaukee River that was once part of a railroad route the Milwaukee Road utilized to serve the Schlitz, Pabst, and Blatz breweries , now a redeveloped neighborhood of modern, riverside condos in cutting-edge architecture.
